Art Workshop with Finnish artist at the Voenna Antonovka Orphanage

Published by Salavat at 8:00 pm under Alpine Fund

img_3031.jpgIts a grey, muddy, cloudy november day, the sun is covered by clouds and all red and orange leaveshaven already fallen a long time to the earth. In the Voena Antonovka Orphanage the daily live is going on, when suddenly a old school bus rolled through the schoolyard. The bus is painted over and over with animals, flowers, trees in shining and glittering colors. Gabriel and Freia drove it together with many artists from different countries from Finnland to Kyrgyzstan and are organizing art workshops in schools and orphanage.

Supported by volunteers and guided by Gabriel and Freia we danced, painted and played, sang with the children from the 1 and second class. Although there was a language barrier, it seemed that we could communicate fluently, because the language of painting, acting, singing is universal. After three hours we had life size pictures of all the children, husky voices and happy childrens and only after three hours it was hard to say good bye to the children, because we won a lot of new friends. But no need to be sad, we will come soon back and already planing our next Trip to the Dacha (hopefully with snow and skying:))

We wish the Ossi Bussi save travelling and hibernation :)

Peace and loveĀ  and flowers
